Catalog Number: JAMAICAN PORTRAITS-318 - Quick sketch of JOSEPH DAVID EDWARDS - made Sep 19 1998 while he explained to me how difficult it was for him - a Saint Lucian to adjust to the American way- The girls could not resist him and Child support killed him - The minimum wage is not possible with children - He was bright, hard worker, great friend, had the run of the house of the roof of the garden, kept it in trim, painted the house outside twice, sheetboard, house cleaning, anything was good for him. Opinionated, he was generally right, he did things HIS way and did them well - he worked fast and very hard - We got along marvellously- with him, a whiff of Jamaica entered our house- we loved to have him around - alas, he landed in Jail in 2001- Got out 3 months ago, - was on the roof in june and was killed by a passing train on August 20 2003 - We miss him astonishingly.
