Catalog Number: JAMAICAN PORTRAITS-18 Rice paper 18x24 feb 27 82 Miss Lue lured us into her world of fantaisy - Hidden in the bush, she lived of thin air and dreams, - survived by miracle in a rotten hut she shared with many dogs She had extreme good manners -
the gift of words- free association of ideas and leaps of imagination. She mixed dreams and wishful thinking in such a way that one enjoyed her stories in total disbelief - to discover later shreds of reality scattered into them that gave them strenght. She wove the nitty gritty of her difficult life into a shimmering pattern : her pack of mangy dogs became a herd of cows, and equity to borrow to build her dream shop.
She dressed marvellously from rags, and, in her queenly manner, adopted us.
